![]() ![]() To install the HP pen control, needed to search for the HP sp82491 file.To install the HP command center, needed to search for it on the online windows store on (not through the app, you won't find it).The windows store auto installed B&O and the Intel Optane utility. All other drivers were current via the prior windows/intel updates. For some reason, the microphone was disabled (and not showing in device manager), so had to enable somewhere in the Windows Setup menus. On the HP website, downloaded and installed the audio driver and hp display control packages only. The HP support assist tool is useless, so didn't rely on this. Once installed, ran the intel driver update tool and let windows update play out.if you have Optane, should see two drives. Loaded the drivers in the custom installation section and deleted all partitions. Had to go old-school and use the tab, space and return keys to navigate menus. My first attempt I did not do this, which made the installation very difficult. In BIOS, disabled both Optane and secure boot.I have Intel Optane, so needed to download the drivers to the usb (are not included in the windows installation). I did a fresh install using the windows media creator and rufus on a usb.If this helps, this is what I learned (and for my future reference): Please keep in mind that this is all anecdotal since I didn't take any before/after measurements. For example, right now I show about 8 hours left at 80% battery. As for results, it is a little faster-especially when opening the lid-and a little more battery life. ![]() The first attempt was a learning experience, but was successful on the second. ![]()
